    The journalistic coverage in the media plays an important role in the collection, verification, and distribution of information. Particularly, in presenting news in an impartial and unbiased manner. This study aims to analyze the journalistic coverage used by the digital version of El Mercurio newspaper regarding the impeachment trial against Guillermo Lasso during the period from March to May 2023. The results of this project contribute to understanding and reflecting on media representation and agenda-setting in important political and social events that affect the country. In addition, it promotes greater critical awareness among citizens, journalism professionals, and students, thus fostering the necessity of journalism and news coverage committed to impartiality and transparency.
