In this research, thermal comfort will be evaluated in two residential homes designed by architect Honorato Carvallo, located in Cuenca and the Valle de Yunguilla, which have different climatic environments. Using energy simulation software, accurate models of the homes will be created for detailed analysis. The methodology uses an experimental quantitative approach, collecting data by collecting detailed information and using secondary sources. The process is divided into phases that include obtaining climatic information, analyzing pre-existing conditions, describing the selected homes, modeling in DesignBuilder, determining activities and occupancy, defining thermal parameters, simulation and generation of recommendations. It is hoped that this work will shed light on Carvallo's contributions to local architecture, providing a clear understanding of factors such as materiality, orientation and use of materials. The results will be translated into practical recommendations to improve thermal comfort in architectural design, positively impacting the understanding and application of sustainable principles in architecture. This precise methodological approach ensures informed and effective research, contributing to knowledge in the field of thermal comfort and sustainable architectural design
