    The text hereby elaborates an interpretative proposal of Humberto Salgado's Piano Rhapsody No. 2 based on the popular rhythms of our country that, in a stylized manner, are part of this piece. For this purpose, these Ecuadorian dances will be identified and characterized, exploring their origin, their function within the Ecuadorian culture and the interpretative traditions of each one of them.
