    Los deportes extremos en el Azuay. Elaboración de una guía turística

    This research work makes available detailed and complete information about the adventure tourism in Azuay, places where every extreme sport can be carried out, approximate costs of each of the activities, directions and indications on how you can get to the sites and general data that must be known by the tourist before embarking on their adventure. First, adventure tourism will be discussed at the global level, its beginnings and the manner in which it has developed over the past ten years where its boom has been evidenced. Subsequently, adventure tourism will be discussed at the national level, specifically its development within the province of Azuay, its effects on economic growth, sustainable care of the environment, and improvements on the quality of life of the inhabitants of nearby sites of practice. Additionally, the most common extreme sports practiced in the province of Azuay will be identified through the application of qualitative techniques. This data will also explicate what are people's main reasons and motivations to practice adventure tourism, as well as, their level of satisfaction after completing the activity. It is intended to enhance the quality of services that are provided while reinforcing what is being done successfully and identifying what is failing and needs improvement; all these efforts are for the promotion of growth of each of the existing tourist sites in the province of Azuay.
