This research analyzes the moral transformation of the character Dorian Gray from Oscar Wilde's work The Picture of Dorian Gray, based on David Hume's moral theory; from a hermeneutic approach, focusing on key moments that illustrate the protagonist's progression towards a life of extreme hedonism, ultimately leading him to self-destruction. Hume's moral theory allows for the analysis of how decisions based on passions guide a person's life, as is the case with the character Dorian Gray, who bases his actions on his emotions/feelings in a constant pursuit of pleasure.
