Recuperación del sistema constructivo en la técnica del bahareque en la contemporaneidad
(2013) Pinos Sarmiento, Jéssica Alexandra; Baculima Armijos, Andrea Teresa; Castro Correa, Salvador
The fundamental reason why we undertook the present work is to rescue the cons¬truction system based in bahareque techniques. Nowadays, the construction made with natural materials is being left aside because of many factors including the in¬troduction of new constructive technologies, the appearance of new materials, and others. That is why we propose to develop an improved such constructive system through this technique called bahareque with the purpose to bring it back into use by adapting it and enhancing it with modern materials. Research about this system in bibliographic references, in actual constructions made with this technique, and through interviews with people who have worked with this construction system was performed initially. Laboratory tests where then performed to the materials that intervene in the bahareque to understand and quantify its advantages and disadvantages. This allowed us to identify and choose materials that offer a better quality. Finally we propose the inclusion of current materials that improve its behavior through the results of the undertaken research, schematic design proposals, and the construction of an experimental model.
