Item Obtención de cuero libre de cromo wet white para la fabricación de tapicería automotriz(2017) Ayavaca Criollo, Gabriel Marcelo; Arias Cisneros, James MarlonThe used of Chrome free supplies has increased in recent years, some industries are being adapted to these new processes, specifically the leather industry in develop of automobile upholstery. The current work, through the application of an experimental factorial design 2^2, seeks to find better conditions into the productive process to obtain leather for automobile upholstery that fulfill similar characteristics than leather Chrome tanned; complying the requirements established by international regulations. Glutaraldehyde modified was used as tanning agent, the variables that have been considered were concentration of glutaraldehyde to 2,5% - 3,4% and filming condition depending on the stage of the basified, testing physical characteristics and submitting the results to ANOVA test, analysis of effects and compared with parameters established by international standards for automotive upholstery; the analysis showed that the treatments T2, T3 and T4, the required value for the percentage of contraction is higher than the established. In conclusion, the Treatment 1 with 2,5 of concentration of glutaraldehyde and then with a basify after resting overnight of glutaraldehyde, is the best appropriate for the “wet white” process, complying the requirements established by the automotive industry.
