    Valoración del bajo peso, sobrepeso y obesidad de los niños de la escuela Ramón Ulloa de la parroquia Victoria del Portete del cantón Cuenca 2010-2011

    Objective: Value of low weight, overweight and fatness in children from the school “Ramon Ulloa” of the parish Victoria from the Portet from the region Cuenca 2010-2011. Metod and materials: It’s a descriptive study transversal, which we determined the prevalence of low weight, overweight and fatness in chidren in age of 6 to 14 years old from the school “Ramon Ulloa” from the parish Victoria from the region Cuenca 2010- 2011. We worked with the universe that was conformed with 102 children matriculated from second to eigth grade. To collect the information we made a control of weight and height in the classroom, the same that we ubicated and determined with formulas Nelson and percintiles of weight/ age and height/age as the curves of development of the NCHS, we also proceeded to calculate the I.M.C (indice of mase corporal) we used the values of percentiles of the NCHS. We determined a interview to the parents of the children with the finality to value the nutritional situation, situation economic, health, residence, gestation family income, and involve with the anthropometric measure. results: The children present nutritionals problems that evidence with the results of the investigation according to the results of the NCHS, low weight with 30.7% in men, overweight with 9.6% in women, 12% in women and fatness with 1.9% in men, 2% in women. Conclutions: The bad nutrition is present in the investigation and according with the situation economic family.
