Item Madurez de la percepción visual de los niños y niñas de 4 a 5 años de la Unidad Educativa Eugenio Espejo, Cuenca 2018(2018-11-11) Avila Zeas, Viviana Patricia; Bermejo Alvarez, Paulina Micaela; Clavijo, María IsabelBackground Given the direct linkage of visual perception to the children's performance of activities such as playing, dressing, recognizing objects or in the reading learning process, writing and mathematical calculations in the school environment, the following study is carried out with the Frostig 3° Edition Visual Perception Evaluation Method (DTVP-3). General Objective Determine the maturity of the visual perception in boys and girls from 4 to 5 years old from Eugenio Espejo School, Cuenca 2018. Methodology The quantitative descriptive study, carried out on 89 boys and girls between four and five years from “Eugenio Espejo” School, through the application of the Development Test of Visual Perception. For the analysis and tabulation of the obtained data, the IBM SPSS 22.0 and Microsoft Excel 2013 programs were used for frequency and percentage statistics. Results The sample was made up of 89 boys and girls, as a result it was obtained that 58.4% of the total of children evaluated have a degree of maturity of the visual perception in an average level, 4.5% of children are in a higher grade than the average, 25,8% below average and the 6,7% obtained a poor maturity. It was not found a correlation between the degree of maturity and gender
