The technical equipmentof Guachapala Municipalityhas consistentlyworkedin the generation ofgeospatial informationrepresentedin differentmapsthat form theDevelopment Planand Zoning; the samewhich constitutesimportant informationthatcannot endstored in aPCavailable to few, on the contrarythe intent of thisproject is tomake it available toall citizens andthe bestway isthrough anSDIrespecting the normsand standardsprevailinginternationally forgeographic information, itprovidesthe user a widerange of toolsmainly forvisualization, consultation,and discharge of geographicInformation in a fasterway, effective andat the timerequired. This draft grade was developed using free software, since itis free tousefor any purposewithoutrestrictions; every day free technologies play a fundamental role in the construction of the SDI, overcoming implementation in many cases proprietary technologies. If the SDI is spoken to share data, with all the advantages that entails, with free software talking of sharing technology. The type ofapplied research inthis projectis descriptiveand technological development, in which itisthe best wayto indicatethe differentused inthe construction of aSpatial Data Infrastructure as well as the best configuration of each ofits parts for proper operation.
