The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of the Mindfulness program to reduce precompetitive anxiety in gymnasts ranging in age from 6 to 13 years. The main objective was to implement said program, determine the level of pre-competitive anxiety in the athletes and finally analyze its effect; The intervention was carried out with a sample of 30 athletes from the CTRES artistic gymnastics academy, the CSAI-2R pre-competitive anxiety inventory was applied prior to a competition and after the application of the program, thus proceeding to analyze and compare the different precompetitive anxiety subscales. Giving as significant results the decrease in the anxiety levels of the athletes, and the effectiveness of the Mindfulness program prior to competing, this was an important point since the exercises used by the program are based on breathing and relaxation of the body that can be practiced from an early age, which had a great benefit in the athletes since they learned to regulate their anxiety and control their stress levels autonomously. Gymnasts and their coaches feel much more confident after participating in the program.
