    Drug addiction is considered a disease that affects the physical, psychological and social aspects of the individual that is to overall health. However the decision on consumption and individual responsibility are vital both at the start and in the maintenance and possible treatment. This research titled the youth drug in the canton Cuenca: a social problem, presents a theoretical approach, the conflict that the youth of our society live in relation to drug addiction. Research on drug addiction among young people, has been addressed in the form of paper, divided into four main themes: drugs, drug use today, youth drug in the canton Cuenca, drugs and prevention.
