Item Determinantes sociales en la adherencia al tratamiento de VIH/SIDA en el Hospital José Carrasco Arteaga, Cuenca 2017- 2018.(Universidad de Cuenca, 2022-06-18) Cedillo Munzón, Mónica Alexandra; Armijos Guaylacela, Jenny MarleneObjective: To analyze the social determinants that exist in adherence to treatment in people living with HIV/ AIDS at the José Carrasco Arteaga Hospital, Cuenca 2017-2018. Material and Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive quantitative study was carried out. carried out on 109 patients who were diagnosed with HIV/ AIDS in the year 2017-2018, treated at the Jose Carrasco Arteaga Specialty Hospital who met the inclusion criteria, the data obtained from the AS 400 System were entered and analyzed in the program SPSS 15. Results: It was found in this hospital unit that 90.8% of the population were men, the average age was 35.08 ± 12.01 with a minimum of 14 and a maximum of 75 years, 91.8% were between 20-59 years, the majority heterosexual with 47.8%, single marital status 70.1%, and 47.8% had a third level title, The most used ART was the combination of TDF+FTC+ EFV with 86.2%. The prevalence of abandonment of ART is 3.66%, the minimum time of abandonment of ART was 6 months and the maximum of 3 years, the sex, the city of residence, the work occupation did show a highly significant relationship with the TARV and its abandonment with a value p<0.05. Conclusions: The prevalence was lower than other studies carried out in similar populations in centers of the same complexity, with which we can conclude that in this hospital center there is adequate adherence to ART.
