    Prevalencia de la disfuncionalidad familiar y factores asociados en pacientes del CEDIUC, Cuenca 2013

    Objective: To determine the prevalence of family dysfunction and risk factors in patients CEDIUC, Cuenca 2013. Materials and Methods: quantitative, descriptive observational of transverse court study, realized in the CEDIUC (Center of infantile development of the University of Cuenca), Cuenca 2013 (N = 130 patients), the sample corresponds with the universe (n = 130 patients), 112 agreed to take part of the study. We used a survey that consists of the variables of the study and also applied FFSIL scale (test perception of family) to determine the level of family dysfunction. The results were analyzed using the SPSS version 15.00 and EPIDAT evaluation version 3.1. Results: the prevalence of dysfunction in CEDIUC's patients was 13.4% and the most significant risk factors were associated with father's education p = 0.0007; father's occupation p = 0.0030; mother's education p = 0.005 ; illicit substance p = 0.006; chronic disease p = 0.035 Conclusions: in CEDIUC's patients the variables that had major influence in dysfunctional families were the level of education both of the father and of the mother, the consumption of illicit substances, presence of chronic disease in the family.
