Item Calidad de vida en personas con discapacidad de la Asociación Biblian sin barreras Luchando por la Inclusión Cañar 2016(2017) León Cajamarca, Adriana Narcisa; Humala Pillco, Diana Maricela; Idrovo Uriguen, Jaime Patricio; Arce Guerrero, Narcisa Eugenia CumandaBACKGROUND: Quality of life is an issue of great importance as it influences various aspects of the human being. Its definition encompasses not only personal well-being but also influence with the environment. OBJECTIVE: The present research aimed to identify the quality of life in people with disabilities belonging to the Biblian Sin Barreras Association "Struggle for Inclusion." Biblian. 2016. METHODOLOGY: This research was descriptive and observational. The universe to be investigated consisted of 610 people, from which a sample was obtained that was of 149 people randomly selected by means of a calculation applying the established formula to determine the sample of finite population. For the collection of information, primary and secondary sources were used, in the first the Questionnaire of the GENCAT scale and as a complementary instrument a form of 69 items, distributed in eight subscales that correspond to the dimensions of the quality of life. For the tabulation of the results obtained in the research, we worked on Microsoft Excel and SSPS, which made possible the development of tables and graphs that show the analysis, in which descriptive statistics were used. RESULTS: 34% of respondents are between 20-30 years of age; Being a youthful population; 54.4% are male; 49% are single; 100% live in Cantón Biblián; 59.7% belong to the rural sector; 23.5% are engaged in household chores. 65.8% have complete primary education, 63.8% are persons with physical disabilities, and 62.4% have a good quality of life. Cuenca 2016(2017) Jetón Balarezo, Doris Paola; Pasato Álvarez, Sonia Guadalupe; Pinos Ortiz, Celestina de Jesús; Arce Guerrero, Narcisa Eugenia CumandaBACKGROUND: Hypertension is one of the main causes of mortality and morbidity in our country and worldwide, being one of the most relevant problems in public health, is a silent enemy in its beginnings, clinically presents symptoms when the disease has advanced enough, affecting major organs such as the brain, heart, kidneys and retina. This disease is a major risk factor that leads to the onset of pathologies such as acute myocardial infarction, cerebral and encephalic accidents, chronic renal failure, diabetes and rhinopathies, which can lead to disability or premature death. According to the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INEC) 2013 states that Arterial Hypertension is the second cause of death in our country. GENERAL OBJECTIVE: To identify factors predisposing to hypertension in adults aged 40 to 65 years who attend the San Fernando Health Center. METHODS: A quantitative, descriptive and observational study was carried out with a finite universe of 150 adults between 40 and 65 years of age. Once the information was collected, the data was entered into the SPSS 23 program for respective tabulation and relevant analysis, which are represented in statistical tables. RESULTS: It was determined that 67% of the respondents belong to the female sex and 33% to the male, the most relevant age is 40 to 49 years old with 53%, 46% are overweight, 66% are consumers of salt, 69% of adults do not engage in physical activity and 31% do so
