    Propuesta de un manual de buenas prácticas para Centros de Información Tuirística: El caso del I-TUR del Cantón El Tambo

    Recently, there has been an implementation of quality standards in various industries that allow to improve the product or service they offer. The tourism industry is not the exception, for this reason in the following monograph a proposal of a best practices manual for (i-TUR) tourist information centers in the town of El Tambo has been presented. In El Tambo, tourism has become an important part of its development and it is considered necessary to have a reference guide for the staff of the establishment. It will inform the staff of good institutional practice standards and guidelines directly focusing on behavioral aspects, the presentation of the establishment, proper handling and management of material resources and suppliers, organization of tasks and information material, use of facilities and equipment, marketing information and attention to the customer and environmental. This monograph consists on three chapters, the first explains various concepts presented to better understand the issue. A second chapter that refers to the areas of development of best practices in the tourist information centers which are business, socio-cultural and environmental. It concludes with a third chapter called the Manual of Good Practice for Tourist Information Centers: i-TUR El Tambo. This chapter contains rules, suggestions and guidelines for handling what refers to good institutional practices focused on customers satisfaction through quality service and also seeks excellence with regard to environmental sustainability and the efficient use of resources.
