    Conocimientos y actitudes de los estudiantes de bachillerato sobre el anticonceptivo de emergencia

    Background: Adolescence is a vital period transition from childhood to adulthood, a vital step to consolidate knowledge and attitudes in sexual and reproductive health, the same that must be known in advance to be able to give a quality education and ensure their health status. General objective: to identify the knowledge and attitudes of secondary school students on the "Emergency Contraception". Methodology: A quantitative, cross-sectional, observational, cross-sectional study conducted at the "Cesar Dávila Andrade" College, with a universe of 553 students aged 15 to 19 years and a sample of 179 people; A semistructured survey was carried out that compiled the knowledge and attitudes of the adolescents. In addition, the database was elaborated in the SPSS program 23, in which the information was analyzed with descriptive statistics, finally presenting in frequency tables and graphs. Results: The students had a mean age of 16 years, 54.2% were male, 95.5% were single, the average age of onset of sexual activity was 15 years, the condom was the most used contraceptive with 40.8% , 40.6% had a sexual partner, 89.94% of students are aware of emergency contraception; 21.2% have used it, adolescents are mostly in indecision with 53.3%. Conclusions: 52% of students have regular knowledge, 34.6% are bad and 13.4% are good; 20% have positive attitudes, 53.3% remain indecisive and 26.6% have negative attitudes to this method
