    Prevalencia del síndrome de burnout y programa educativo para el personal docente que trabaja en la Unidad Educativa Intercultural Bilingüe Quilloac. Cañar, 2014

    Objective. Determine the Burnout Syndrome prevalence and develop an educational program for teachers working at "Unidad Educativa Intercultural Bilingüe Quilloac” from the Cañar city. Methods and materials. An experimental study on a baseline, applied a pre test, intervention program and a post test. We worked with 34 teachers of basic education and secondary education. As a technique used direct observation, a structured survey and as an instrument the Maslach’s test that is validated and modified for teachers. The data were processed in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and SPSS programs. The analysis and tabulation was made by descriptive statistics, represented in tables and graphs. Results. Burnout Syndrome is valued according to the following parameters: emotional exhaustion, depersonalisation and personal accomplishment. The results of the research: emotional exhaustion: pre test 38.2% intermediate, pos test 18%; depersonalisation: pre test 38.2% intermediate, 18% test pos; self-actualization: pre test low-level 52.9%, 32% test pos. Conclusion. Managed to reduce the levels of emotional exhaustion and depersonalisation of an intermediate level to low, also optimized the level of personal self-actualization which was at a level low, improving the way they perceived the fulfillment of their professional expectations. The alternative therapies which had more impact were acupuncture, which aroused the curiosity and interest of the participants and bio-dance, as the way out of the reality the spirit is to contact with the environment.
