The "Documentary script: Use of ancestral power plants as psychotherapy in Azuay", proposed to demonstrate the use of alternative medicine with plants, their classification and psychotherapeutic effects for healing purposes; from a documentary script where the historical journey of the Andean culture, its ceremonies and worldview was captured. The research was carried out from the qualitative method because interviews and testimonies were conducted, both professionals and people who have participated in ancestral ceremonies. The technique of participation observation was also used, which contributed to expose the subject with greater veracity and scientificity. This research is relevant because it contributed with current information, where audiovisual production, informative and cultural journalism and the vindication of the local Andean cosmovision with the use of power plants are linked. This will leave room for future research and even for the elaboration of the documentary based on the proposed script.
