    Familia y maltrato infantil, propuesta de intervención desde la perspectiva sistémica. Mensajeros de la Paz, año 2009

    The present investigation was planned to characterize families, children, and adolescents, also, the kind of mistreat that they had lived, reason why they have been removed from their homes, and sheltered in homes under a program known as “AcogimientoInstitucional” through “Foundation Messengers of Peace”. Interviews of 14 families of 27 children sheltered from June 2008 to January 2009 were conducted. The families were not randomly selected to accommodate the needs of the study. The instruments used for the recollection of data consisted of the genogram that graphically represent the families and their relationships; family functioning questionnaire - FFSIL; direct observation; and semi-structed interviews. The results reveal that families representing children and adolescents treated are inserted into the type of families multi – problem, where the main type of abuse is neglect. The factors analyzed as: housing, family structure, cultural, socio-economic and psycho-social, determines they are families who are at risk, with few opportunities for social inclusion, and therefore require assistance in various areas: social, economic, legal, educational and therapeutic. In conclusion, the results obtained with a proposal for therapeutic intervention was developed from the systemic approach, with the aim of improving the family system.
