Tothis enda review ofthe state of the artwas made, the components formingthe reduction factorRanalyzed,and howthisfactor is present inthe current Ecuadorian Building Standard andto the previous codes. Finally, theColombianStandardNSR-10 construction and the building codeof the United Statesof AmericaASCE7-10analyzed,making a comparisonto the Ecuadorian legislation, drawing conclusionsand makingrecommendations forfuture research.
