    Factores asociados al trastorno de estrés post-traumático del terremoto en Canoa, provincia de Manabí, 2017

    Background: Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder occurs as a consequence of exposure to a traumatic event, characterized by re-experimentation of trauma, hypervigilance and avoidance of stimuli that allow recall of the event. Objective: To determine the factors associated with posttraumatic stress disorder in Canoa, Province of Manabí, 2017. Methods: It is a Quantitative Analytical Cross-Cutting Study conducted in Canoa to the victims of the Earthquake, with a sample of 300 people aged 15 to 49 years, through the Davidson Trauma Scale the PTSD could be identified. In the analysis the SPSS software was used by means of frequencies and graphs and the mean was obtained. For the association between PTSD and variables we used Chi-square and Odds Ratio (OR). Results: In the sample of 300 people, 56% (n = 168) presented PTSD. According to the severity of the symptoms, the mild degree prevails in both sexes with 25.0% (n = 43) in women and 31.3% (n = 40) in men. The variables that showed association with PTSD and were shown as risk factors when obtaining the OR are: Sex, with women being 3.03 times more susceptible (OR = 3.03, 95% CI 1.88- 4.87, p = 0.000) died with 2.42 times more risk (OR = 2.42, 95% CI = 1.29-4.53, p = 0.005). Conclusion: The variables that most correlate with PTSD are the sex and deceased relatives.

    Factores que intervienen en la elección, nivel de satisfacción sexual y duración de la relación en las parejas de Cuenca - Ecuador, 2018

    Background: The structuring of a couple is an event of great importance for the human being, since their good or inadequate conformation leads to well-being or discomfort, not only for the person in himself, but also for the family and society. Objective: Determine the degree of association between the factors that determine the choice, level of sexual satisfaction and duration of marriage. Methodology: This is an observational, analytical and transversal study, with 415 adults from Cuenca - Ecuador. We searched for the priority characters in the election, their relationship with the levels of sexual satisfaction and the duration of the marriage. Through sociodemographic test and Sexual Satisfaction Index, with systematic random sampling; 95% reliability and considering significant results a value p <0.05. Results: Women prioritize emotion (33.7%), then the level of instruction (4.3%). In men, emotionality is valued in 19.8% of cases, followed by physical attractiveness (11.1%). A good quality of the couple relationship allows reaching high levels of sexual satisfaction in 21.2% (p = 0.000) and is related to a longer duration of the relationship in 24.6% (p = 0.005). Emotionality is important in sexual satisfaction (p 0.015). Conclusions: The ability to express feelings is a priority when choosing a partner, other characters are also valued as: physical attractiveness and level of instruction. The characters, individually, do not determine high levels of sexual satisfaction or the duration of the relationship, an adequate amalgam is necessary.

    Terapéuticas caseras en el síndrome premenstrual por mujeres de la Comunidad San Pedro - Biblián, 2017

    Antecedents: Menarche begins with sexual maturity or reproductive age of women, according to WHO around 12 or 13 years; Parallel arises the premenstrual syndrome characterized by the presence of bothersome physical, psychological and social symptoms, which interfere negatively in their lives affecting their emotional well-being state until the inability to develop normally their daily activities. General Objective: To determine the home therapies in the premenstrual syndrome by women of the San Pedro community - Biblián, 2017. Methodology: this is a qualitative study based on a theory based on the application of convenience sampling for the selection of the study group; 8 women: 2 teenagers (12-15 years old), 2 young students (20 -29), 2 younger adults (30 - 45) and 2 older adults (60 or more). To obtain the information: observation and an open and in depth interview form of 20 questions. For the recording of the data a notebook and a voice recorder; for its later analysis the Atlas Ti program. Results: among the most used therapeutics stand out the infusion of medicinal plants: Zangurachi, pimpinilla, chamomile, rue, among others; Dietary changes suppressing citrus fruits, vegetables rich in natural oils and fats. The protection against the cold or heat, for being indirectly related factors in the intensification of the pain. Relaxation techniques such as sports, massage, rest or simply continue with their daily tasks. In extreme situations they opt for isolation. Conclusions: the option to treat SPM depends on the generational group, the adolescent and young, prefer the pharmacological treatment, consider to be of fast and prolonged effect; while the adult (older), gives credit to natural medicine and their home customs, for its accessibility in relation to the economic and the confidence on its effectiveness
