    Conocimientos, creencias, actitudes y prácticas sexuales vinculadas con el VIH/SIDA, en la comunidad San Luis de Inimkis. Morona Santiago 2017

    BACKGROUND: The prevalence of HIV / AIDS and the interest of people harmed by this pathology have increased in recent times, however there is a great gap in terms of knowledge, beliefs, attitudes and sexual practices in communities of indigenous Shuar nationalities of Ecuador, so it is necessary to deepen studies related to this topic. Worldwide, in 2013, an estimated 35 million people were infected, 2.1 million new cases and 1.5 million deaths due to AIDS-related diseases. (1) For the indigenous people of the Amazonian communities, HIV is an outside disease that the mestizos, 'gringos', have led. They are in the 5th place of deaths due to HIV with 1.06% (2) GENERAL OBJECTIVE: Analyze knowledge, beliefs, attitudes and sexual practices related to HIV / AIDS, in the San Luis de Inimkis community, Morona Santiago 2017. METHODOLOGY: Post-positivist qualitative phenomenological study. The sample was non-probabilistic of intentional type, integrated by 7 adolescents between 12 and 17 years old, men and women with active sexual life who go to the Health Center of the MSP of the Parroquia Sevilla Don Bosco. The research was carried out by means of a focus group in which an interview was applied, the data were recorded, transcribed in Word as primary documents and then processed in the Atlas-Ti software. RESULTS: The adolescents studied were between 12 and 17 years old, 5 men and 2 women, Shuar ethnic group, single people with an active sexual life, students. The beginning of the sexual activity was at 16 years, experienced the pleasurable sexual debut and love relationships of the couple. There is insufficient knowledge about HIV / AIDS and the risks of contagion of STI diseases, attitudes and sexual practice is vulnerable to risk
