The objective of this research was to reduce the construction time of the traditional structure of dwellings portal frames reinforced concrete using permanent collaborating formwork prefabricated ferrocement (ECPPF), applied to housing regular structure, up two floors, up to 4.5 meters of light, located in the seismic zone II of Ecuador. The proposed forms are part of the section of the structural elements, helping to resist efforts. The skin of the structural elements was taken and formwork was formed, giving it to the construction of all the benefits offered by the prefabrication as to better quality control and faster performance using the same material than traditional system. Anyway the proposed system combines quality and speed of construction that provide prefabricated systems, and stiffness that provide traditional systems to achieve monolithic unions. To carry out this research was conducted first analysis and design of a matrix of traditional structures, and analysis and design of the same matrix but with the ECPPF system, which yielded volumes of work, for budgeting and construction schedules. Some elements such as beams, columns and footings ECPPF system designed with built in work, in order to optimize the system and obtain partial perfomance. It was also developed an experimental program with scaled samples for demostrate the efficiency of the union between permanent formwork and concrete filling took place. Finally the construction of a prototype of thirty-six square meters full scale, which allow determining total perfomance, actual costs and construction time was building.
