Item Aplicación de las medidas de bioseguridad por el personal de salud en la atención de los pacientes del servicio de clínica del Hospital Homero Castanier crespo. Azogues, 2013-2014. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The type of investigation is quantitative, the type of study is descriptive, the universe was shaped by 50 professionals of the health, by what for the investigation sample calculation was not realized they working with the whole universe The investigation technique used was observed, interview, microbiological study, materials used for invasive procedures and hands of the personnel of health of the area of clinic of the Hospital Homero Castanier Crespo in Azogues city. The used instruments were a guide of observation, forms of interview and capture of sample, sowing and reading result RESULTS: The realized investigation determines that 72% of the personnel know Bio security procedure, but his application is very reduced due to the mechanical way of realizing his labor functions. CONCLUSIONS: The investigation concludes that Bio security knowledge exists but is not applied in a permanent and correct way, reflected in the high birth of present colonies in the hands, environment and materials of attention of the patient, due to multiple conditional factors as the lack of time by the patients' demand, the mechanical form that removes in the work and the lack of conscience in spite of knowing the risks that this carries. The number of blood donations in the country is not sufficient to cover the needs of the NHS. So that the country has timely access to blood, at least 2% of the population must be a donor according to the World Health Organization. But in Ecuador the figure is 1.42% according to the Ministry of Health until 2013. GENERAL PURPOSE: Determine the characteristics of frequent volunteer blood donors in the Red Cross of Cuenca, 2015. METHODOLOGY: It was a quantitative research. We worked with the finite universe of one hundred four frequent volunteer blood donors. The data were processed and analyzed in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and SPSS. The results are presented in tables. RESULTS: According to research carried out for three months, the universe was made up of people who came to your donation, we obtained that 72.1% of male, aged 18 to 27 years safeguard the altruistic action. With this antecedent and with the aim of Identifying knowledge and practices of the patients with diagnosis of diabetes that go to the service of endocrinology of External Consulta of the HVCM, a descriptive investigation was developed, using the qualitative and quantitative investigation and applying the technique of the survey; The study universe was 100 patients who go to External Consulta of the HVCM from which she was taken as she shows 50 diabetic patients, investigation that was realized during the period of January and February of the 2010. By means of this investigation which was identified that of 22% of the diabetic patients they do not know on the diabetes, the cares and the complications, influences directly in the evolution of the disease. Methodology: The research is descriptive evaluative type, in which the evaluation and implementation of each of the rules in the administration of vaccines, the quality of care provided, socio-demographic factors related to the nursing staff is detailed, summarizing the knowledge, attitudes and practices. We worked with a universe of 100%, 22 graduates, 14 internal nurses, 24 nursing assistants, managers’ vaccination area health centers from Azogues city; whose information was entered into the database of the SPSS statistical program for their respective tabulation and analysis in charts. Results: In the research we have observed that there is a minimum percentage of acknowledge about the expanded immunization program by the nurses staff. Method and Materials: This is a cross-sectional descriptive study worked with a finite universe, consisting of 320 children attending in the child development centers in the months of April, May and June of 2013, his parents expressed their desire to participate in research, signing the informed consent. As techniques are used direct observation and application of parent surveys as instruments, we used a form prepared by the author; the data were processed and analyzed in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and SPSS. Results: The relationship weight/age, 133 are a normal weight 56 underweight, 28 at risk of overweight and 2 overweight for age. The age/size, 105 children as relative to a normal size, 125 are high-class and 85 have low height for age. The age/BMI ratio, 31 children as having a BMI less than 14 considered underweight, 237 children as have a BMI between 14 and 17 having them with a normal nutritional status and 52 with a BMI of 17 identified risk overweight. Conclusion: It is clear that poverty, family instability, lack of knowledge and education of the mother, affecting the normal growth and development of children. Methodology: Transversal analytical study. 210 health workers from District 01D04 were evaluated during the period of March to August 2015. A structured questionnaire was applied and anthropometric measurements were taken. Frequency and percentage values were obtained and findings of nutritional status were correlated with staff’s lifestyle (eating habits and physical activity), using Pearson’s chi square and p value. Results: The average age was 34,55 years old. Being the 26-35 years old the most common group with 51% and females with 69,5%; in this population it was determined that the 18,1% had associated diseases being HTA (Arterial hypertension) the most prominent with 8,1%. Nutritional assessment determined that 40% of people tested were overweight, this being the most frequent alteration; secondly obesity was found accounted with 20,5%; underweight occurred in 3 cases representing 1,4% of the total. We found an association between the frequency of consumption of dairy products, meat and water with nutritional status (p <0.05), in the rest of the cases no statistical significance was found, in the majority of the cases the habits were appropriate, and the frequency of sedentary was 53,8%, Nevertheless they weren’t associated with the presence of overweight or obesity. Conclusion: The prevalence of overweight and obesity is high, despite having good eating habits. Traditional customs given in childbirth and postpartum are carried out to improve the quality of life of women; these practices have existed for thousands of years among indigenous peoples and nationalities, their knowledge being catalogued as empirical. The practice of childbirth and postpartum in the community was the responsibility of midwives, midwives or family members, men and women of wisdom who were charged with caring for the health of the community. Objective: To explore the intercultural practices of childbirth and postpartum in the communities attached to the Type-B Biblian Health Center, period July-December 2022. Methodology: a qualitative-ethnographic study was carried out, the semi-structured interview was used as techniques, and it was applied to midwives at the Type B Health Centre in canton Biblián, on intercultural practices in childbirth and postpartum. Results: Intercultural practices in childbirth and postpartum in the communities attached to the Biblián Health Center still prevail despite the passing of time, with certain modifications expressed by women of wisdom, The importance of such practices is to preserve the health of women and newborns in good conditions and to achieve a well-being and a connection with nature.
