    Efectividad de una intervención educativa en conocimientos, actitudes y prácticassobre dengue y chikungunya en los estudiantes de los Colegios 7 de Mayo y República del Ecuador, Machala 2015.

    Objective: To determine the effectiveness of the educational intervention on knowledge, attitudes and practices about dengue and chikungunya of high school students May 7 schools and Republic of Ecuador, Machala 2015 Methodology: Quasi-experimental study, students of secondary schools May 7 and Republic of Ecuador. We used both in the pre-test and post-test a form of knowledge, attitudes and practices (C.A.P) for prevention of dengue and chikungunya, previously validated .It intervened for 3 times weekly in the mentioned schools. For statistical analysis Microsoft Excel 2010 and IBM-SPSS version 15.00 was used assessment, relative frequencies and percentages was used and to determine the difference between groups was used McNemar statistical. Results: forms were applied to 568 students in the pre-test and post-test, 568. In the Pre-test data show understanding for dengue and chikungunya 17.3% 10.4% 79.4% attitudes and practices 12.3% in the post-test results show understanding for dengue and chikungunya 41.9% 33.6% 84.5% attitudes and practices 23.8% data that by McNemar Statistical indicate significant changes in three aspects. Conclusions: The symptom known for the two diseases was fever and statistically effective intervention by the McNemar test.
