They are made by a panel supported by vertical or inclined wire hangers, which are the support structure. This type of bridges hangs supported in two towers. In areas of tropical climates, with difficult accessibility, it has been focused on the bamboo solution and using it as local and ecologically sustainable materials, supporting the conservation of environment and forests, and in the use and the main construction of the board. In this research, work is given to the priority and importance to the solution of constructive technical details of the junctures between bamboo and wire or board. The use of design methodology structures in bamboo by the allowable stress method has been also reviewed.Item Diseño de una edificación usando secciones mixtas(2016) Coronel Urgiles, Claudio Germán; Gamón Torres, RobertoGiven the increased use of steel profiles in our area, used in many cases without experience, which becomes a threat that could affect the safety of people. The start of this work will serve as a guide for all professionals interested in increasing their knowledge and to begin calculation and design of structural elements using composite sections; the calculation and design of composite sections, specifically mezzanines built with composite slab on beams, concrete -filled tubular columns using the LRFD method, model an structure that was calculated using steel sections only. The results of the two analyzes are tabulated and compared; the weight of the steel that is necessary when using steel elements only against the weight of the steel that is necessary when the steel is calculated working with concrete.Item Diseño estructural de una edificación con secciones compuestas(2014) Espinoza Hernández, Pedro Roberto; Gamón Torres, RobertoThe designs of buildings with conventional system (reinforced concrete) are the most frequently used in the city of Cuenca. The mixed structures have an entry in the local market of low to medium complexity, but at the moment no is completely massified. The design of mixed steel-concrete structures has a better performance in times of the conventional reinforced concrete construction, resulting less use of labor, which is an important factor to when programming a construction job. This paper is a bibliographic database for sizing the structural elements (beams and columns) of a mixed character, making a comparison, at the end, of the same project from an analysis of reinforced concrete structures versus mixed (concrete-steel), both at structural design, budget and schedule work.Item Elaboración de un software para el diseño de perfiles en frío de producción nacional en flexión y a compresión(2015) Romero Torres, Xavier Polibio; Gamón Torres, RobertoBy virtue of the great importance that you have the structural steel, like building material in Ecuador and because for years AISI has gotten ready of the specification, without that they had been applied by the majority of the designers, he finds himself necessary to buttress the members' design conformed in cold with a tool ( software ) that it allows making easy the you laid plans of the same to the professionals involved in this specialty. Knowing that exist two big groups of profiles of structural steel, being these plies instantly ( AISC ) and the shaped in cold ( AISI ), and due to the increment of the use of the last ones, he is offered the mentioned software in order that he speeds up to solve the complexity that the mathematical formulations to calculate the resistant capacity of the profiles present. Finally, theColombianStandardNSR-10 construction and the building codeof the United Statesof AmericaASCE7-10analyzed,making a comparisonto the Ecuadorian legislation, drawing conclusionsand makingrecommendations forfuture research.Item Tipificación de naves de estructura de acero utilizadas para la industria(2016) Contreras Lojano, David Ricardo; Gamón Torres, RobertoThe present study is based on typifying two non-traditional types of steel structure industrial plants use in the industry, for its subsequent structural design, the loads that influence on the structured were established after the two non-traditional types of industrial buildings have been defined , paying attention to the seismic loads using an elastic response spectrum of accelerations, the combination of the loads are defined by the NEC (Ecuadorian Building Standard) to determine the internal forces and deformation to which the structure will be exposed , with this, it was possible to define the sections of each one of the structural members, being able to withstand the stresses to which each of them will be subjected, and control the deformations in order they can be within the parameters established by the design regulation for this kind of structures, having as a final result the structural drawings of the two industrial plants. The structural modeling was done using the software SAP-2000, where the materials of the building, the sections of each one of the structural member, the loads and the combination of loads were defined, for the design and structural analysis of each one of the industrial plants.
