Item El juego y la construcción de roles de género(Universidad de Cuenca, 2019-12-03) Aguilar Paredes, Christian Andrés; Creamer Pintado, Samantha Gabriela; Carrasco Aguilar, Nancy CatalinaChildren grow up with stereotyped ideas that they find in their context and that, when interacting with other children, they are strengthened them selves and at the same time they learn from each other. Stereotypes lead to certain roles in men and women which reproduce unconsciously. This monograph addresses a study of two categories: gender stereotypes and children's games. By using a literature searching is intended to make known the relationship between between the construction of gender roles and the children's games for boys and girls. In the first place, it explains the stereotypes and gender roles and the existing relationship between both. Then the games are detailed and the importance they have in the development of the boys and girls. Finally, with the study of both categories, the construction of gender roles from children's games is demonstrated bibliographically, through the analysis of observed and documented cases. The analysis and research indicate that the games played by children are stereotyped and normalized within the society, which establishes what a man and a woman should do. This division of gender and activities for each one allows the perpetuation and continuity of roles in adult life.
