Item Investigación de plantas alimenticias y medicinales de Chuya Kawsay en Quilloac(2014) Aguaiza Quizhpilema, Jacinto; Idrovo I., JaimeThe investigation of food plants and medicinal plants de "Chuya Kawsay" in the Quilloac community of the Cañar Canton, was developed based upon knowledge of the Kichwa language, the Chakra or sowing and the Pacha or the system of the cross; divided into four cycles of time and space: tarpuypacha, hallmaypacha, sisaypacha, pallaypacha, or sowing, weeding, flowering and harvest. The work consists of seven chapters. Chapter I: Quilloac, its etymology, foundations and splendor. Chapter II: Importance of medicinal and food plants; use in ancestral and community medicine. Chapter III: tarpuypacha, fundamentals of the pacha and the genetic regeneration of muyu or seeds as medicinal and food plants and the preservation of food for the time of scarcity. Chapter IV: hallmaypacha, the weeding of the Chakra and esthetic replica of the ecosystem with the children (children and young people), and the practice of reciprocity. Chapter V: sisaypacha, the flowering of the plants and the tinkuy or the ritual encounter of the renewal of the season, with the artistic movement of the commune. Chapter VI: pallaypacha, gathering of the crops, synonymous with health, and the Watana or "tying up" (completion) of the year, in the uyanza of haway celebration, known today as the inti raymi (festival of the Sun). Chapter VII: proposal of agriculture, health and education, with a vision and mission to recuperate nutrition, biodiversity and ancestral knowledge.
