Item Prevalencia de helicobacter Pylori por microelisa en materia fecal y factores de riesgo en universitarios de la Ciudad de Cuenca 2013(Universidad de Cuenca, 2013-11-11) Alarcón Ochoa, Fernando Armando; Pasato Álvarez, José Fernando; Cárdenas Carrera, Jenny Carola; Cabrera Vicuña, José AntonioThis research was aimed to determine the presence of Helicobacter pylori in 203 college students between the ages of 17-36 years, from different genre. 63.5% are female and 36.5% male. The study sample was selected randomly from students, University of Cuenca, Azuay University, Catholic University of Cuenca and Salesian University, to those investigated were surveyed for their lifestyle, socio - economic, housing type, housing material, health infrastructure, grooming habits, food and symptoms at the time of collecting the sample. Feces were examined for Helicobacter pylori identification by microplate analyzed biosafety standards and quality control, the examination was performed in the Clinical Laboratory Diagnostic Center, Faculty of Medical Sciences of the University of Cuenca. Equipment was used ELISA reader and the reagent mark FORESIGHT Human Antigen H. Pylori enzyme immunoassay for the qualitative detection of H. Antigen pylori in human feces. Helicobacter pylori was found positive in 47% of college students, greater in males, aged 17-20 years (59%), with sanitation infrastructure (drinking water and toilet facilities 46%) and home ownership (47 , 2%), cement (56.5%), with good hygiene, washing hands before meals (SI = 45.2%), washing food before eating (SI = 41.8%), bad habits, consumption of soft drinks (SI = 47.7%), alcoholic beverages and snuff (SI = 50.7%), with an average of 3-4 people in the family (50%), with a monthly income of less than $ 299 (50%).
