    Anteproyecto de parque lineal Río Burgay de la ciudad de Biblián

    Biblián, city located in the province of Cañar, is overpass by the Burgay River, a surpassing geographical feature in the outline structure of the city and an indwelling part of its identity. Although subdivision of its margins have already been intervened with an urban project, there is an ought to complement this action, in a territory stretching approximately one kilometer and a half, this between the new bridge and the Cattle Fair, to generate a quality and vital public space, to be pursued without affecting the river ecosystem and its functioning as an ecological corridor, therefore connecting and complementing this space with the central area of the City. The undergraduate paper, developed under the linking figure with society, incorporates 4 chapters: the first depicts a conceptual framework in which basic concepts are addressed; the second, shows a case study of existing projects to be carried out exhibiting strategies, strengths and weaknesses that can guide us to substantiate the proposal, the third is a site diagnosis with several useful analysis for decision making, such as conducting surveys to the citizens to be acquainted of their needs; and the fourth chapter embraces the proposal of the preliminary project which reflects the results attained from the first three chapters with the engenderment of a linear park and interrelating spaces that harmonizing with the environment maintain the ecological system of the Burgay River, engendering a space equipped with a series of recreational activities ideal for the population´s regalement.
