Item “Anomia - Desechables” Creación de una serie pictórica sobre problemas sociales que afectan al mercado El Arenal “Feria Libre” mediante un lenguaje visual contemporáneo(2018) González Guanoquiza, Christian Xavier; Alvarado Granda, Pablo OlmedoIn the present project, the development of the ANOMIA was investigated, taking as a basis of study the "El Arenal" market (Feria Libre), which arises as an aesthetic necessity for the pictorial representation of the chaotic reality existing in this sector. Nowadays, the deplorable conditions that exist in this place, are born in the marginal parts, due to the carelessness, the disorder and the breach of the norms; originated in the moment in which the links weaken and society loses its strength to integrate and regulate individuals, generating social phenomena such as: alcoholism and delinquency, which lead to an interruption with respect to the psychologically and sociologically acceptable. The creative process arose from deductive research and the synthesis of bibliographic - documentary material. After this an inductive and ethnographic exploration was developed, making in situ visits to the market; inquiring into the personal stories and ways of life of the alienated individuals. Finally, in the pictorial work, it reflects the characteristic urban characters and scenarios, trying to return a face-to-face function to the painting, detaching itself from its photographic reference.Item Cicatrices urbanas: experimentación sobre papel mediante las tipologías del grabado(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-03-19) Sinche Brito, Darío Xavier; Alvarado Granda, Pablo OlmedoThe research project is part of the review of buildings considered heritage in the city of Cuenca and that, for various reasons, today remain abandoned. We focus the research on the deterioration of these structures and that is why an artistic record is made to determine the recovery (or conservation) of its form. The fragment has a historical identity that has remained for a long time in abandonment and with this (symbols, figures, among others, scattered in the streets) we will develop an experimentation of the typologies of engraving that allow the recovery and perpetuation of this trace on paper. The buildings in the historic center have been a fundamental part of the city; with singular and paradigmatic characteristics, its facades have a great variety of art deco typologies, as well as ornaments with neo-colonial elements, which characterizes it from other cities in Ecuador. While preserving the original structure, over time certain fronts have not had the proper treatment for the conservation of the heritage, producing a generalized deterioration. A space in constant abandonment only creates holes in the urban landscape causing an unpleasant perception for the city dweller or tourist, this becomes a problem as well as environmental pollution, noise pollution, among others that persist within the city. The purpose of the research is to show the evidence of the deterioration of five heritage houses in the city of Cuenca through the technique of engraving.Item Creación y producción de ilustraciones bordadas sobre tela desde el concepto de violencia de género(Universidad de Cuenca, 2020-09-03) León Chuñir, Sandra Concepción; Alvarado Granda, Pablo OlmedoThis research project develops a proposal of Relational arte based on the concept of gender violence, bearing in mind that the purpose of relational art is to invite the spectator to reflect on a reality. For scientists, it is synonymous with energy, which creates, transforms and restores matter. The present work, rescues this element, and through scientific sustenance, it can be said that thanks to enlightenment positive changes are generated, even from a spiritual approach, is that "light" can heal. Thanks to art and plastic activity, a message can be projected to a social medium, which is intended to provide a mobilizing feeling that reaches the viewer as a message of hope, which serves to restore what is convenient in life. Beyond the values, beliefs and dogmas of a society, light generates clarity, knowledge, even being able to associate it with the divinity. "The Restorative Light" is expressed and sustained by means of a photographic record. This displacement, rupture or interference of reality would be the aim of contemporary practices whose languages have dissolved into a bewildering variety of possibilities in order to remain vital in an increasingly restricted and controversial space. The symbolic, social, and political exchanges arising from this activity are what give the work its vital time, a real, disruptive time that develops in conjunction with the daily life's time, its audiences and its socio-political structures.
