Item Evaluación del desarrollo psicomotor en niños/as de los centros infantiles Angelitos, San Francisco y Huayna Cápac, Cuenca, 2016(2017-11-11) Alvarez Cárdenas, Fabián Patricio; Fajardo Coronel, Andrea Johanna; Villalta Chungata, Blanca Cecilia; Pesántez Díaz, Tania LorenaBackground: The Psychomotor Development is fundamental to the development of the child during his/her early childhood, their motor skills, cognitive, language and social skills will be developed, so that a correct assessment of the Psychomotor Development allows the detection of retardation in order to apply a correct early intervention as effectively as possible. (1) General Objective: To assess the Psychomotor Development in children from the kindergarten institutes: "Angelitos, San Francisco, and Huayna Capac" Cuenca, 2016. Methodology: This is a descriptive study; the method to be used is the quantitative cross-sectional study. The technique was the direct Observation and Assessment of children, who were part of the study, using the scale of the Psychomotor Development of the Early Childhood Brunet Lezine Revised Version in its Baby test way. The information was collected using the software SPSS V18, the statistical measures, which were used in the development of the tabulation of data, were frequencies, measures of central tendency, graphics and charts according to the variables. Conclusion: Our research, according to Lezine Brunet test revised version, determined that the 5,5% displayed a Global Psychomotor Development Retardation, of which 3,3% are men. The highest percentage of retardation occurs in the women in the 4 areas, having the highest percentage the ones of Language and Social. Results' usage: The results will be published in the University of Cuenca's library for the knowledge of professionals in Early Stimulation, students and related careers, as well as general public
