Item Evaluación de la utilización de los lodos residuales de la industria papelera en la fabricación de hormigón(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-03-02) Abril Guamancela, Diego Vinicio; Vivanco Loaiza, Santiago Andrés; Mogrovejo Carrasco, Daniel EstuardoThe cement industry generates considerable polluting emissions, like the paper industry that produces a large amount of solid waste, the waste paper material can be used in the manufacture of concrete. This Titling Work refers to the evaluation of the ash insertion from paper sludges in concrete manufacture as a partial replacement of the cementitious material. A theoretical-research approach is made with collected results from experiments that shows examples of concrete with the incorporation of paper sludges, and the most relevant variables are identified for justify their study within the Titling Work and to carry out a representative database based on statistical analysis, in order to demonstrate the benefits of using sludge as an alternative material in the construction sector. Independent variables are also identified for the elaboration of prediction models that describe the behavior of the compressive strength of concrete, and by means of a regression analysis the importance of these variables is described. Likewise, a life cycle analysis is generated from a theoretical perspective through grading tools I Last and Palate V2.2 and Aspect calculators. The objective extends to, based on the behaviour and trends achieved in statistical and life-cycle analysis, obtain through a multi-criterion study the ideal percentage of incorporation of paper sludges that provides more advantages to concrete. The incorporation of paper sludge has a direct influence on the physical mechanical characteristics, with a greater impact on the resistance to compression and settlement, the appropriate replacement percentages are in relatively low ranges and it can be seen that its use achieves a high benefit in sustainability indicators such as 𝐶𝑂2 emissions and energy savings.
