    Análisis de correlación del desempeño estructural y funcional de la vía Cuenca - Molleturo - Naranjal, en el tramo puente Tamarindo - Jesús María

    In the present degree work, we perform the evaluation of the functional and structural conditions of the section between the abscissas 107 + 000 to 117 + 000 of the track Cuenca - Molleturo - Naranjal. Based on this analysis, it is sought to determine if there is a relationship between the functional and structural characteristics in said track. The functional evaluation has been based on obtaining the Condition Index of the Pavement (PCI), which is based on the direct observation of present pathologies on the surface of the pavement; whereas, the structural evaluation starts from the determination of the reaction modulus of the subgrade and the modulus of elasticity of the concrete slab. To carry out this analysis the FWD impact de ectometer has been used, whose results allow the evaluation of the structural condition by means of the AASHTO method, in addition, the Elmod 6 software was used to obtain a second analysis of the modulus of elasticity of the slab of concrete. The results of this work show, in terms of the functional evaluation, that the section of the analyzed route is in its entirety in good conditions with a PCI index equal to 72. On the other hand, the structural evaluation determined that the reaction module of the subgrade quali es as High and Very High, allowing to con rm that the track is in good structural condition. In the same way, the calculation of the modulus of elasticity resulted in values that are within the appropriate range. Finally, after making a series of correlations between the functional and structural parameters it was not possible to nd a direct relationship between them.
