| Abstract: | The objective of this research was to understand the dynamics of production
and use of social capital in the Impulso Joven organization in the year 2019-2020.
To meet this objective, firstly, I analyzed the construction of their identity and
organizational values and then formed themselves as a symbolic resource to be
mobilized. Second, analyze your social capital through the articulation of both
material and symbolic resources that allowed the organization to consolidate. Finally,
I established how the organization used its social capital to influence public policies
regarding sexual and reproductive rights. To accomplish this task, I used the
qualitative approach together with the methodological design of the case study:
simple and holistic of the descriptive type. Consequently, the techniques used are
the preferred ones of the case study model, which are the semi-structured interview,
the documentary review and the non-participant observation. The results reveal that
the construction of identity took place in the trainings, which meant a space for
negotiation, reflection and optimization of identity to understand the reasons why
they are a pro-life group. There, I found the relationship: the higher the level of
training there is a greater identification. Then, the identity and the organizational
values are symbolic resources that mobilized the efforts of the members so that there
is internal cohesion and they can position themselves in the field of sexual and
reproductive rights. On the other hand, the material resources show us that the
Impulso Joven network is reduced exclusively to relationships with other pro-life
groups and actors. However, these relationships provided our subject of study with
sufficient resources to influence the spheres of the State. So, finally, at the agency
level, we identified that Impulso Joven came to connect with groups that have the
exercise of power |
| Description: | La presente investigación tuvo por objetivo comprender las dinámicas de
producción y uso de capital social en la organización Impulso Joven en el año 2019-
2020. Para cumplir con este objetivo, en primera, analicé la construcción de su
identidad y valores organizacionales para luego conformarse como un recurso
simbólico a movilizar. En segunda, analicé su capital social por medio de la
articulación de recursos tanto materiales como simbólicos que le permitieron a la
organización consolidarse. Por último, establecí cómo mi sujeto de estudio usó su
capital social para incidir en las políticas públicas referentes a derechos sexuales y
reproductivos. Para esta tarea utilicé el enfoque cualitativo junto con el diseño
metodológico del estudio de caso: simple y holístico del tipo descriptivo. Por
consiguiente, las técnicas manejadas son las predilectas del modelo de estudio de
caso que son la entrevista semiestructurada, la revisión documental y la observación
no participante. Los resultados revelan que la construcción de la identidad tuvo lugar
en las capacitaciones, que significaron un espacio de negociación, reflexión y
optimización de la identidad para comprender las razones por las que son un grupo
pro vida. Allí, encontré la relación: a mayor nivel de capacitación existe una mayor
identificación. Luego, la identidad y los valores organizacionales son recursos
simbólicos que movilizaron los esfuerzos de los integrantes para que exista
cohesión interna y puedan posicionarse en el campo de los derechos sexuales y
reproductivos. Por otro lado, los recursos materiales nos demuestran que la red de
Impulso Joven se reduce exclusivamente a relaciones con actores pro vida. Sin
embargo, estos vínculos le proveyeron a mi sujeto de estudio de los recursos
suficientes para incidir en las esferas del Estado. Por lo que finalmente en el plano
de la agencia, identifiqué la forma en que Impulso Joven llegó a conectarse con
grupos que tienen el ejercicio del poder |
