| Abstract: | The social well-being is the group of feelings of satisfaction so much materials as immaterial, which take place in the individuals a series of conditions that they cannot only be generated by the rent level, but rather they are also linked with other conditions with they are: health, education, services, housing, etc.
The interest of several specialists to find an appropriate mensuration has been present for several centuries; the problems related with the well-being constitute a constant challenge for those who study the social science.
The social well-being is an open concept that has been defined in multiple ways it is for it that this work contains approaches for an appropriate definition and quantitative mensuration through objective indicators.
In this document was carried out the mensuration of the Social Well-being for the different cantons of the county of the Azuay using the methodology of distances DP2, the areas with those that one has worked are: education, health, housing, economic and demographic.
The results to those that you has arrived are that of the 15 cantons that conform the county of the Azuay, 2 are the cantons that present a bigger index of well-being: Sevilla de Oro and Cuenca, 8 are the cantons that meet with a half level of well-being: Camilo Ponce Enríquez, San Fernando, Guachapala, Sigsig, Gualaceo, El Pan, Paute and Santa Isabel and the cantons that register a level of relative well-being under they are: Chordeleg, Nabón, Oña, Girón and Pucará. |
| Description: | El bienestar social es el conjunto de sentimientos de satisfacción tanto materiales como inmateriales, los cuales producen en los individuos una serie de condiciones que no pueden ser generados únicamente por el nivel de renta, sino que también se encuentran vinculados con otras condiciones con son: salud, educación, servicios, vivienda, etc.
El interés de varios especialistas por encontrar una adecuada medición ha estado presente por varios siglos, los problemas relacionados con el bienestar constituyen un reto constante para quienes estudian la ciencia social.
El bienestar social es un concepto abierto que ha sido definido de múltiples formas es por ello que este trabajo contiene criterios para una adecuada definición y medición cuantitativa a través de indicadores objetivos.
En este documento se realizó la medición del Bienestar Social para los diferentes cantones de la provincia del Azuay utilizando la metodología de distancias DP2, las áreas con las que se ha trabajado son: educación, salud, vivienda, económico y demográfico.
Los resultados a los que se ha llegado es quede los 15 cantones que conforman la provincia del Azuay, 2 son los cantones que presentan un mayor índice de bienestar: Sevilla de Oro y Cuenca, 8 son los cantones que se encuentran con un nivel medio de bienestar: Camilo Ponce Enríquez, San Fernando, Guachapala, Sigsig, Gualaceo, El Pan, Paute y Santa Isabel y los cantones que registran un nivel de bienestar relativo bajo son: Chordeleg, Nabón, Oña, Girón y Pucará . |
