| Abstract: | The research was conducted in the parish Nulti in Azuay Province, were studied four levels of liquid whey 25, 50, 75% diluted in water and a level 100% plus a control to 0%, feeding on guinea pigs of both sexes during the period of growth and fattening. 150 animals were used, distributed in Random Block Design with three replications; food consisted of different levels of whey, commercial concentrate and alfalfa; being budgeted weekly. The weight was influenced by the levels of whey, which using the Duncan test resulted T4 in 100% favorable in males and T3 in 75% in females (P<0,05); while consumption of liquid whey showed a strong positive correlation compared to males and significant for females. The best yields at the canal were recorded in T4 to males and T3 to females. The higher utilities were in the T3 and T4 treatments with $1,37 versus T5 with $1,10. And the results of the tasting test respect to variables color, smell and tenderness were the best at 50%, the variable flavor got 100% greater acceptability, finally the presentation and acceptance variables were better than 75% and 100% respectively |
| Description: | La investigación fue realizada en la parroquia Nulti de la Provincia del Azuay, se estudiaron cuatro niveles de suero de leche líquido 25, 50, 75% diluidos en agua y un nivel al 100% más un testigo al 0%, en la alimentación de cuyes de ambos sexos durante la etapa de crecimiento y engorde. Se utilizaron 150 animales, distribuidos en un Diseño de Bloques al Azar con tres repeticiones; la alimentación estuvo constituida por los diferentes niveles de suero de leche, concentrado comercial y alfalfa; siendo presupuestados semanalmente. El peso fue influenciado por los niveles de suero de leche, se utilizó la prueba de Duncan dando como resultado el T4 al 100% favorable en machos y el T3 al 75% en hembras (P<0,05); mientras que el consumo de suero de leche líquido mostró una correlación positiva muy fuerte para los machos y considerable para las hembras. Los mejores rendimientos a la canal se registraron en el T4 en machos y T3 en hembras. Las mayores utilidades se dieron en los tratamientos T3 y T4 con $1,37 frente al T5 $1,10.Y los resultados de la prueba de degustación respecto a las variables color, olor y terneza los mejores fueron al 50%, la variable Sabor obtuvo mayor aceptabilidad al 100%, finalmente las variables presentación y aceptación fueron mejores al 75% y 100% respectivamente |
