| Abstract: | This research’s main objective is to analyze the process of employment of the Peruvian people working illegally in the city of Cuenca in 2013. This particular study aims to contribute to the understanding of Peruvian migration developed in recent years in the city of Cuenca , which can largely be explained by the acquisitive benefits represents the exchange rate of the country. For these reasons, in the first chapter the theoretical framework used for this research is presented. In the second the legal framework concerning the Peruvian migration described. In the third chapter the Peruvian migration to the city of Cuenca where we explore some of the main causes is described. A quantitative and a qualitative, two segments are presented in the fourth chapter, concerning the results of the investigation. Analysis of the process of employment of the Peruvian population established in the city presents the qualitative part, with the first economic activities upon arrival to the city, working hours, wages, and cases are described discrimination. Some relevant socioeconomic indicators that reflect the current reality of a segment of Peruvian immigrants identified in the city describes the quantitative part. Finally, in the last part of the conclusions of this research are presented. |
| Description: | La presente investigación tiene como objetivo principal analizar el proceso de inserción laboral de la población peruana en condiciones de irregularidad en la ciudad de Cuenca en el año 2013. Este estudio en particular pretende contribuir a la comprensión del fenómeno migratorio peruano desarrollado en los últimos años en la ciudad de Cuenca, lo que en gran medida puede ser explicado por las ventajas adquisitivas que representa el tipo de cambio del país. Por lo expuesto, en el primer capítulo se presenta el marco teórico utilizado para esta investigación. En el segundo se describe el marco legal concerniente a la migración peruana. En el tercer capítulo se describe el fenómeno migratorio peruano a la ciudad de Cuenca en donde se exploran algunas de las causas principales. En el cuarto capítulo, referente a los resultados de la investigación, se presentan dos segmentos: uno cuantitativo y otro cualitativo. En la parte cualitativa se presenta el análisis del proceso de inserción laboral de la población peruana establecida en la ciudad, en esta se describen las primeras actividades económicas realizadas al momento de llegar a la ciudad, las jornadas de trabajo, los salarios, y casos de discriminación. En la parte cuantitativa se describen algunos indicadores socioeconómicos relevantes que dan cuenta de la realidad actual de un segmento de inmigrantes peruanos identificados en la ciudad. Finalmente, en la última parte se presentan las conclusiones de esta investigación. |
