ABSTRACT
This research is about the analysis of eroticism and symbolic elements in the Ecuadorian novel “El Deseoquellevatunombre” by Carlos Carrion.
Moreover, this research will establish a study about the background and influences in the erotic novel where the ardor and sensuality are present throughout the novel.At the same time we will have a psychological analysis of the characters around different erotic manifestations, language and symbols.
On the other hand, we focus on the issue of women and men, in the way Carrión described in his novel and what role each of them play on the issue of eroticism.Machismo as the main focus in this society, which leads and governs both men and women. Rebellion is also a young teenager against the evils of society and sexual liberation, which in turn is translated as an ambivalence: fascination and repulsion, fear and worship.

El presente trabajo tiene como finalidad dar a conocer un análisis literario entorno al erotismo y los elementos simbólicos en la novela ecuatoriana “El deseo, que lleva tu nombre” de Carlos Carrión.
Además ésta investigación establecerá un estudio acerca de los antecedentes e influencias en la novela erótica donde la fogosidad y la sensualidad están presentes durante toda la novela. A la vez realizaremos un análisis psicológico de los personajes entorno a sus diferentes manifestaciones eróticas, su lenguaje y símbolos.
Por otro lado, nos enfocaremos en el tema de la mujer y el hombre, de la manera cómo Carrión lo describe en su novela y qué rol desempeñan cada uno de ellos frente al tema del erotismo. El machismo como eje principal dentro de esta sociedad, donde lidera y gobierna tanto en los hombres como las mujeres. También se encuentra la rebeldía de una joven adolescente frente a los perjuicios de la sociedad y la liberación sexual, que a la vez se la traduce como una ambivalencia: fascinación y repulsión, miedo y adoración.
