Abstract: | Background: It is important to know the different methods of contraception used most
often by adolescents who want to prevent STDs and unwanted pregnancies. Your choice
requires careful professional advice. Adolescents need to know all methods of
contraception and choose the one that best suits their needs, values, preferences and
personality in a responsible manner, for which the objective of this bibliographic review
is to know the updates and scientific evidence of the use of contraceptive methods in
adolescence. Methodology: in this bibliographic review a search was carried out in the
digital databases: scielo, science-direct, academic google, pubmed and medline, with
bibliographies since 2018, for which the PRISMA methodology will be used PRISMA
(Preferred Reporting of Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis) and a fourphase flowchart. The identification, screening, eligibility and selection (inclusion) of
scientific articles were since 2018. The journals used were those between Q1 and Q4.
Articles were searched in the DeCS directories: contraception, birth control methods,
adolescent behavior. Mesh: Contraceptive Agents, Pregnancy in Adolescence
completed the inquiry with Boolean operators: AND, OR, and NOT. Results obtained:
The prevalence of the age of onset of sexual relations is found in a group between 14
and 16 years of age with 69.5% and 6.8% began between 17 and 19 years of age. On
the other hand, the prevalence of modern MAC use was higher in men (75.6%) than in
women (58.5%). In addition, it was found that the most used contraceptive methods in
adolescents was the male condom with a variation of 2.7% to 90%. Adolescents know
and know how to use contraceptive methods; However, the nursing role is very important
in contraception because promotion is one of the most appropriate measures for the
prevention of pregnancy, which are geared to empowerment to clear doubts and exercise
control of different methods. The factors associated with its use is the consumption of
alcoholic beverages with 44% and 8% marijuana use. |
Reporting of Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis) y un diagrama de flujo
Adolescente. Mesh: Contraceptive Agents, Pregnancy in Adolescence, se completó la
indagación con los operadores booleanos: AND, OR, y NOT.
