| Abstract: | The present research project aims to create three compositions inspired by traditional
Ecuadorian genres such as sanjuanito, danzante, and yaraví. These compositions will be
intended for performance in a choral or vocal quartet a cappella format. To do so, I begin with a
descriptive analysis of the antecedents of Ecuadorian Traditional Music, which gives rise to a
brief overview of the usual uses of music by the inhabitants of the territory that we now identify
as Ecuador; this will allow us to understand the character and intention of the works. Next, we
continue with a description of the harmonic, rhythmic and melodic compositional techniques that
have been used in the elaboration of the compositions. Therefore, there is a descriptive and
comparative analysis of the works, which will show the author's research and creative work from
a technical perspective. Finally, the product that has been reached after the research process is
shown, which consists of the definitive scores of the three compositions, identified as Sanjuanito
Opus 1, Danzante Opus 1 and Yaraví Opus 1. |
| Description: | El presente proyecto de investigación tiene como objetivo la creación de tres composiciones
inspiradas en géneros tradicionales ecuatorianos tales como el sanjuanito, el danzante y el
yaraví. Estas composiciones estarán destinadas para su interpretación bajo un formato coral o
cuarteto vocal a capella. Para lo cual, se inicia con un análisis descriptivo de los antecedentes
++de la Música Ecuatoriana, lo que da lugar a un breve recorrido por los usos habituales de la
música en los habitantes pasados del territorio que actualmente identificamos como Ecuador;
esto permitirá conocer el carácter e intención de las obras. Luego, se continúa con una
descripción de las técnicas compositivas armónicas, rítmicas y melódicas que se han empleado
en la elaboración de las composiciones. Por consiguiente, se expone un análisis descriptivo y
comparativo de las obras, donde se evidenciará el trabajo investigativo y creativo del autor
desde una perspectiva técnica. Finalmente, se muestra el producto al que se ha llegado tras el
proceso de investigación que consiste en las partituras definitivas de las tres composiciones,
identificadas como Sanjuanito Opus 1, Danzante Opus 1 y Yaraví Opus 1. |
