Percepción de la condición de la maternidad respecto al rendimiento académico de las estudiantes de la carrera de Agronomía-Rediseño de la Universidad de Cuenca. Año 2023

Abstract

The research project ''Perception of the Condition of Motherhood Regarding the Academic Performance of the Students of the Agronomy-Redesign Career of the University of Cuenca. Year 2023'', seeks to make visible the different roles that student mothers fulfill in society and the difficulties they encounter in fulfilling them. The general objective of the research is to describe the perceptions of the condition of motherhood with respect to the academic performance of the students of the Agronomy-Redesign career at the University of Cuenca. Year 2023. Within the methodology applied in the study, there is the qualitative approach, of phenomenological type and descriptive scope. Two techniques were used, a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and an interview with a guide of semi-structured questions, for the purpose of getting to know the opinions and points of view of each student mother. The results obtained pointed to the lack of family support in most of the students, as well as from teachers in specific cases. In addition, the rejection of society and the lack of time make them think of postponing their studies or withdrawing definitively from their studies. For this reason, lines of intervention are proposed for the welfare of all student mothers in a personalized and effective way.
