| Abstract: | Augmented Reality (AR) technology provides elements of improvement in the interest of the study of mathematics by students, where through a didactic prototype visualization skill linked to learning are promoted, making the intangible abstractions of the mathematics can be perceived in a real way. In the present study, resources were developed with the help of AR for the teaching-learning of regular polyhedra in the 8th year of EGB of the San Francisco Educational Unit, where the impact of the ARLOON GEOMETRY application on students was determined. The study was carried out with two parallels, the 8th "A" in which the regular instruction was applied with usual resources and the 8th "B", where didactic sequences involving the use of AR were worked on.
Through the descriptive statistical analysis and the t-student test, it was determined that the PreTest applied shows that there is no significant difference (p-value=0.5743) between the notes of the two parallels, likewise the Post Test showed a significant difference (p-value=0.0005424) between the two parallels, demonstrating that the application of AR influences the learning of regular polyhedra in the 8th grade "B" compared to the 8th grade "A", who were instructed with the usual teaching methodology. This research shows that AR is a technology that offers a new way of educating. |
| Description: | La tecnología de Realidad Aumentada (RA) aporta elementos de mejora en el interés del estudio de las matemáticas por parte de los estudiantes, donde a través de un prototipo didáctico se promueve habilidades de visualización vinculadas con el aprendizaje, haciendo que las abstracciones intangibles de las matemáticas se las pueda percibir de una forma real. En el presente estudio se desarrollaron recursos con la ayuda de la RA para la enseñanza-aprendizaje de poliedros regulares en el 8vo de EGB de la Unidad Educativa San Francisco, donde se determinó el impacto de la aplicación ARLOON GEOMETRY en los estudiantes. Se realizó el estudio con dos paralelos, el 8vo “A” en el cual se aplicó la instrucción regular con recursos habituales y 8vo “B”, donde se trabajó con secuencias didácticas involucrando el uso de la RA. Mediante el análisis estadístico descriptivo y la prueba t de student, se determinó que el Pre Test aplicado demuestra que no existe diferencia significativa (p- lor=0.5743) entre las notas de los dos paralelos, así mismo el Post Test evidenció una diferencia significativa (p-valor=0.0005424) entre los dos paralelos, demostrando que la aplicación de RA influye en el aprendizaje de los
poliedros regulares en el curso de 8vo “B” en comparación con el curso de 8vo “A”, quienes fueron instruidos con la metodología habitual de enseñanza. En esta investigación se muestra que la RA, es una tecnología que ofrece una nueva forma de educar. |
