| Abstract: | The analysis of the social representations of violence among Ecuadorian football fans aimed
to explain how social imaginaries are built regarding the most popular sport in Ecuador, taking
into account moments in this sport in which extreme violence has been witnessed globally and
locally that have significantly marked society. The main objective was to describe the most
representative events of manifestations of violence that occurred in this field, especially those
that occurred within the fans, to analyze how identities and regionalisms have been
constructed within these groups; in addition to being able to determine through the qualitative
and descriptive method what the antecedents and consequences of these social
representations are. To do this, a qualitative analysis methodology was applied to acts of
violence in football, as well as interviews and surveys to find out the opinions of the main
members of this environment. From the conclusions obtained, it stands out that violence in
sports settings is linked to fans who transform this sport into something more emotional,
manifesting it physically and aggressively to defend the colors of their team; Despite this, these
attitudes are not the absolute rule that all fans of this sport present nor are they present in all
sporting events, but some exceptions are recognized as negative circumstances for the
football environment. |
| Description: | El análisis de las representaciones sociales de violencia dentro de la hinchada del fútbol
ecuatoriano, tuvo como finalidad explicar cómo se construyen los imaginarios sociales
respecto al deporte más popular del Ecuador, teniendo en cuenta momentos en este deporte
en los que se ha presenciado extrema violencia a nivel mundial y local que han marcado
significativamente a la sociedad. Como objetivo central se buscó describir los hechos más
representativos de manifestaciones de violencia ocurridas en este campo, sobre todo los
sucedidos dentro de las hinchadas, para así analizar la forma en la que se han construido las
identidades y regionalismos dentro de estos grupos; además de poder determinar mediante
el método cualitativo y descriptivo cuáles son los antecedentes y consecuencias que tienen
estas representaciones sociales. Para ello, se aplicó una metodología de análisis cualitativo
sobre hechos de violencia ocurridos en el fútbol, así como entrevistas y encuestas para
conocer la opinión de los miembros principales de este entorno. De las conclusiones obtenidas
se destaca que la violencia en escenarios deportivos está ligada con los hinchas que
transforman este deporte en algo más emocional, manifestándolo de forma física y agresiva,
a fin de defender los colores de su equipo; a pesar de ello, estas actitudes no son la regla
absoluta que presentan todos los aficionados de este deporte ni tampoco está presente en
todos los encuentros deportivos, sino que existen excepciones que se reconocen como
circunstancias negativas para el entorno del fútbol. |
