Propuesta de un manual operativo hotelero en los centros geriátricos: caso Hogar Cristo Rey en la ciudad de Cuenca

Abstract

In the city of Cuenca, there are some geriatric centers that provide services and accommodation to older adults. Many of these centers are private and limit access to the most vulnerable older adults. Geriatric centers, today, are institutions that go unnoticed by the vast majority of people; generally, there are few institutions and private companies that invest in the creation of these centers to try to focus on this population niche and meet their needs. The objective of this work is to incorporate a broader vision into geriatric centers as accommodation establishments and the creation of a hotel operating manual that allows standardizing the various processes in each area and the guidelines that contribute to the improvement of Hogar Cristo Rey. This degree work includes important information on various topics related to hospitality and geriatric centers. In principle, you can visualize the beginnings of hospitality, when and how geriatric centers emerged, and, as well as the MIES Technical Guide, that was used to carry out this thesis project. Finally, the process formats found in chapter 3 are carried out in great detail and based on the needs of the geriatric center, with the sole purpose of making the selected departments of Hogar Cristo Rey more manageable and providing sources of help to the efficient and effective administration of the institution.
