Responsabilidad social universitaria en instituciones de educación superior de la Provincia de El Oro, Ecuador

Abstract

University social responsibility is a central element for University Education Institutions worldwide; It forms part of the essence of the service that this type of institution offers to countries and societies. The practice of social responsibility requires social and environmental commitment, aspects on which education must be provided. In this sense, the objective of the research is to analyze university social responsibility and the main practices and actions that Higher Education Institutions are adopting to face global demands regarding this phenomenon. The methodology is documentary and systematic review, works by recognized authors in the area are reviewed. The results indicate that University Social Responsibility is still an evolving concept, given the dynamism of the market, and has repercussions on factors such as internationalization and technological modernization. It is concluded that University Social Responsibility has a high impact on the construction and reconstruction of values in society. © 2023, Universidad del Zulia. All rights reserved.
