| Abstract: | The present degree project is of a monographic type and addresses the importance of the
development of mathematical patterns, a relevant topic in the educational field as it promotes
early and future mathematical knowledge. The main objective of this work was to bibliographically
determine the process of development and stimulation of mathematical patterns in children aged
3 to 6. To achieve this, a descriptive and explanatory documentary research was carried out,
allowing the characterization of this category of study through bibliographic analysis. The
conclusions obtained revealed the importance of working with mathematical patterns in the early
years, as they promote the development of logical mathematical thinking, contribute to cognitive
development, enhance understanding of mathematics, and support cognitive, creative, and
linguistic skills. Therefore, it is essential to stimulate their development through activities,
resources, and materials that encourage practical learning through manipulation and play.
Additionally, it is highlighted that within the scientific literature, repetitive patterns are the most
investigated, followed by growth patterns, and finally, with less frequency, spatial structure
patterns. |
| Description: | El presente trabajo de titulación es de tipo monográfico y aborda la importancia del desarrollo de
patrones matemáticos, un tema relevante en el ámbito educativo, pues promueve conocimientos
matemáticos tempranos y futuros. El objetivo principal de este trabajo fue determinar
bibliográficamente el proceso de desarrollo y estimulación de patrones matemáticos en niños de
3 a 6 años. Para lograrlo, se llevó a cabo una investigación documental descriptiva y explicativa,
que permitió caracterizar esta categoría de estudio a través de un análisis bibliográfico. Las
conclusiones obtenidas revelaron la importancia de trabajar patrones matemáticos en los
primeros años, ya que promueven el desarrollo del pensamiento lógico matemático, favorecen el
desarrollo cognitivo, mejoran la comprensión de las matemáticas y respaldan habilidades
cognitivas, creativas y lingüísticas. Por tanto, es esencial estimular su desarrollo mediante
actividades, recursos y materiales que fomenten el aprendizaje práctico mediante la
manipulación y el juego. Además, se destaca que, dentro de la literatura científica, los patrones
de repetición son los más investigados, seguidos de los patrones de crecimiento y finalmente con
menos frecuencia los de estructura espacial. investigated, followed by growth patterns, and
