| Abstract: | In his literary career, the writer from Cuenca Jorge Dávila Vásquez has reflected the society
and experiences of the region, the nation and the international through his short stories,
especially through the concept of brevity. However, the evolution of the author's narrative style
shows the need to investigate the particular brands of his micro-writings throughout the XXI
century. For this reason, in the present investigation he analyzes the micro-storytellers: Días
de la vida (2022) and La noche maravillosa (2006) produced as part of the imaginary of
Cuenca and the Region during the last twenty years, issuing a thematic interpretation of the
works from the dimensions of hermeneutics. The interpretation of particular signs and
meanings of the Cuenca imaginary, found in the works, was carried out from categories such
as: death, family, angels, places, music and the urban. These variables will be examined from
the postulates issued by Manuel Villavicencio (2000), Garrido Domínguez (2005), Alicia
Ortega (2017) and Carmen Rosa Álvarez Torres (2021). |
| Description: | En su trayectoria literaria, el escritor cuencano Jorge Dávila Vásquez ha reflejado la sociedad
y las vivencias de la región, de la nación y de lo internacional a través de sus microcuentos,
especialmente a través del concepto de brevedad. No obstante, la evolución del estilo
narrativo del autor evidencia la necesidad de investigar en las marcas particulares de sus
microescritos a lo largo del siglo XXI. Por esta razón, en la presente investigación analiza los
microcuentarios: Días de la vida (2022) y La noche maravillosa (2006) producidos como parte
del imaginario de Cuenca y de la Región durante los últimos veinte años, emitiendo una
interpretación temática de las obras desde las dimensiones de la hermenéutica. La
interpretación de signos y sentidos particulares del imaginario cuencano, encontrados en las
obras se realizó a partir de categorías como: la muerte, la familia, los ángeles, los lugares, la
música y lo urbano. Estas variables serán examinadas desde los postulados emitidos por
Manuel Villavicencio (2000), Garrido Domínguez (2005), Alicia Ortega (2017) y Carmen Rosa
Álvarez Torres (2021). |
