| Abstract: | The main objective of this curricular integration work is the transformation of
the urban public space through the redesign of a road segment located in
the Panamericana Norte, in the city of Cuenca, in order to facilitate the
mobility of pedestrians and inhabitants of the sector. To achieve this
objective, the research will be structured in three phases. Phase 01 will
involve the development of a conceptual and legislative framework focusing
on mobility. This phase will establish a theoretical basis for the project.
Phase 02 will involve a diagnostic assessment to evaluate the current state
of the Panamericana Highway North. This assessment will involve the
collection of on-site information such as road infrastructure, facilities, land
use and traffic. Based on the information gathered, problem trees will be
developed, which will allow the formulation of an objective model of the
operation of the Panamericana Highway North. Finally, in Phase 03, a
"Design Proposal" will be developed based on the findings of the previous
phases. Through the implementation of these three phases, the main
purpose of the public project is to achieve its objective of transforming the
urban environment and optimizing the mobility of both pedestrians and
residents of the area in question. |
| Description: | El objetivo principal del presente trabajo de integración curricular radica en
la transformación del espacio público urbano a través del rediseño de un
segmento vial ubicado en la Panamericana Norte, en la ciudad de Cuenca,
con el fin de facilitar la movilidad a peatones y habitantes del sector. Para
alcanzar este objetivo, la investigación se estructurará en tres fases. La
Fase 01 implicará el desarrollo de un marco conceptual y legislativo que se
centre en la movilidad. Esta fase establecerá una base teórica para el
proyecto. En la Fase 02 se realizará un diagnóstico para evaluar el estado
actual de la vía Panamericana Norte. Esta evaluación implicará la
recopilación de información en el sitio, datos como infraestructura vial,
equipamientos, usos de suelo y tránsito. Con base en la información
recopilada, se procederá a la elaboración de árboles de problemas, los
cuales permitirán la formulación de un modelo objetivo de funcionamiento
de la vía Panamericana Norte. Finalmente, en la Fase 03, se desarrollará
una “Propuesta de Diseño” en base a los hallazgos de las fases anteriores.
A través de la implementación de estas tres fases, el proyecto público tiene
como propósito principal lograr su objetivo de transformar el entorno urbano
y optimizar la movilidad tanto de los peatones como de los residentes del
área en cuestión. |
